Destineers

I’m Ryan, one of the Destineers at Greenbrier Academy. What’s a Destineer? Well, at Greenbrier it’s me, my brother Brady, and our friends Kylie and Sean. That doesn’t really answer your question, though, does it? Webster’s Dictionary defines destiny as the power which appears or is thought to control events; fate. I never was much of a believer in destiny or fate – then I met Wiliam Derrnz, the new headmaster at our school and life just hasn’t been the same. My brother, friends and I definitely found our destiny. What is our destiny, you ask? We’re saving the worlds, one adventure at a time. Yes, I said worlds. Plural. You’d be surprised how many are out there.


This year a new headmaster, Wiliam Derrnz came to the Academy, and I think life is going to get very interesting around here. The headmaster brought some new professors and a whole new curriculum with him. I’m not so sure the local school board knows about these changes…let’s just say life is a whole lot more fun since they arrived.

One of my classes this year is called interactive history. Check it out. This one professor is like some kind of genius or something. He invented this machine called the incarnation chamber. It lets you travel to any world, at any time in it's history. It is so cool. My brother and I really like this video game called Cosmic Kingdom, so Professor Derrnz let us go back to the time of King Arthur to see what life was really like back then. We also got to travel to the Realm of the Netherscape. It is so neat there - there are all kinds of creatures like elves, goblins, and centaurs, and, get this...they have two suns. How cool is that?! We even got to see the fairyherds and a cloudwalker or two. I hope we get to go back, but there is some kind of major trouble brewing in the Realm. Well, I'm pretty sure some of my friends will stop by here from time to time and maybe I can talk some of the professors into stopping by so you can meet them too. We'll keep you posted! There's so much going on...this is going to be great!
